There are already many coliving spaces in Tenerife and across the Canary Islands. Most are designed as short-term experiences and come at a high cost. This is an attempt to build something different — a genuinely affordable coliving space designed for people who are working on things and need to manage their cash carefully.
Most coliving spaces are expensive.
They’re so expensive I feel they must be designed for short stays, or for people who don’t have to think about cost.
That works if you’ve got money behind you.
It’s a different story for the rest of us.
So we’re building a space that isn’t just for Rupert and Hermione. This will be the cheapest coliving space in Tenerife.
I want to build somewhere people stay for months, that helps them, not drains their bank account completely.
The Constraint
If you’re trying to build something; a startup, a project, anything uncertain
your biggest constraint is usually cash / runway
…How long you can keep going before you run out of money
So where you live affects that more than anything else
The Question
Should a genuinely affordable coliving space exist?
Not a retreat
Not a premium experience
Just somewhere you can live and work
without watching your money immediately disappear
If that’s never been a concern for you, then this probably doesn’t matter
If it has, you already know the answer
Where This Is Now
The space exists. You can help me fit it out, physically or financially, so we can open it and see if this actually works.
The Test
It’s easy to agree with this in theory.
It’s harder to act on it.
So this is a simple way to measure it:
…does this matter enough, and will people support it?
Not everyone. Just enough people.
Take Part
You can contribute from €1 (about 85p)
and show this isn’t just one person thinking this should exist
Or you can help me build it physically.
