At Nomadhut, we’re redefining the way people live and work. Imagine a space where you can seamlessly balance productivity, relaxation, and inspiration—a landing pad to explore out from.

We’re creating a network of multi-functional spaces that combine accommodation, coworking areas, makerspaces, and cafes under one roof. Whether you’re a digital nomad, an early-stage entrepreneur, or a creative thinker, Nomadhut provides the ideal environment to thrive.

Our Vision

Nomadhut is more than just a space; it’s a community-driven ecosystem that adapts to your needs. From long-term living solutions to inspiring workspaces, every square foot is designed to inspire collaboration, foster growth, and connect people.

No two Nomadhut locations will look the same, but they will always feel like home.

What We Offer

  • Accommodation: Comfortable, thoughtfully designed living spaces for long-term residents or travelers passing through.
  • Coworking Spaces: Homely yet professional environments, fostering productivity and networking.
  • Makerspaces: Creative workshops equipped for innovators and hands-on creators.
  • Cafes: Welcoming spaces to recharge, brainstorm, or simply savor a moment.

Nomadhut is built for the future of work, catering to professionals seeking more than just a desk. It’s a place to live, work, and create—on your terms.

Why the Canary Islands?

We’ve chosen the Canary Islands as our first destination for their unbeatable combination of winter sun, affordability, and vibrancy:

  • A Year-Round Draw: Nearly 15 million visitors annually, with a growing community of remote workers.
  • Affordability: Attractive real estate prices compared to mainland Europe.
  • Inspiration: Stunning natural beauty and cultural richness make it an ideal hub for creativity and exploration.

The Market Opportunity

The world is shifting towards flexible work and lifestyle solutions, and Nomadhut is perfectly positioned to meet this demand. Consider these trends:

  • The number of digital nomads surged by 96% between 2020 and 2022.
  • Flexcations are on the rise, with 30% of Americans planning to combine work and travel.
  • Demand for short-term rentals in Europe’s top cities grew by 25% in 2022.

Nomadhut taps into these global shifts, offering a seamless blend of living and working solutions for a growing audience.

Why Invest in Nomadhut?

  1. Growing Market: Remote work is here to stay, and demand for innovative spaces is only increasing.
  2. Unique Offering: Unlike sterile coworking chains, Nomadhut is rooted in character, community, and sustainability.
  3. Proven Commitment: With personal funds invested in our first location, we’ve already taken the first step in realizing this vision.
  4. Scalability: Each location is crafted uniquely, but the process is repeatable—acquire, refurbish, and create thriving spaces.

What Makes Us Different?

While many spaces focus solely on function, Nomadhut balances practicality and personality. Our designs are bespoke, reflecting the local environment, and our ethos is centered on fostering human connection.

We’re not chasing rapid growth. Instead, we’re building something lasting—spaces people love, remember, and return to.

Our First Step: Tenerife

Our first building in Tenerife is a modest start, funded entirely by personal investment. This project will prove our concept: transforming an overlooked property into a vibrant, multi-functional space.

The Plan:

  • Purchase and refurbish the building (estimated uplift: £40,000 → £250,000).
  • Use the value increase to secure a mortgage, creating a warchest for the next property.
  • Expand thoughtfully, balancing creativity with financial sustainability.

Future Growth and Collaboration

As Nomadhut grows, we’ll explore partnerships with asset owners and management companies to expand efficiently. While large corporate partnerships can be complex, we’re open to collaborations with those who share our vision and commitment.

Sustainability at Our Core

We’re committed to eco-friendly practices, from construction materials to daily operations. Every decision is made with an eye toward minimizing environmental impact and maximizing community benefit.

Join Us

The remote work revolution is just beginning, and Nomadhut is ready to lead the way. Whether you’re an investor, a digital nomad, or someone passionate about building the future of work, we invite you to be part of our journey.

Let’s create something extraordinary together.

I need to borrow / raise cash to buy the next Nomadhut building, and I don’t know where to start. Once Nomadhut Tenerife is open I’ll most likely fund the growth through debt of leveraging / remortgaging the asset. However, I’ve seen a 5,000 sq/ft building I think meets my criteria and I need to find c£160k – £180k, so hence reaching out to see if you know a way.

Nomadhut is an “un-startup”, as I’m not chasing high growth, this is slow growth through asset purchasing / property development playbook. 1 or 2 buildings per annum. I know this will sound ridiculous to the those in the property world, however I’m expecting to achieve a yield of 26-30% pa (and obvs there’s also the increase in asset value to account for separately).

Having opened and run 25+ meanwhile coworking buildings over a 8 year period I understand buildings and their maintenance requirements. Operating buildings at the end of their useful life / pre-redevelopment you learn about the errors architects and builders originally made, what different types of works cost, how to do them and the solutions needed.

Initially I need to focus on “affordable assets”, hence North side of Tenerife was my first investment starting point. European capital cities would be my desired future target, as mixed use coworking / coliving / coffeeshop is my aim, but for those I require a different sized war chest…

The next acquisition will be Azores, Madeira or Canary Islands (again). Buildings that require change of use and a certain degree of internal building works (non-structural). As that is where I see best value £ per sq/ft, and the ability to shape the layout of buildings for the intended purpose.

Market:

  1. Digital nomads (tech focus)
  2. Startup founders on the island (tax benefits for starting companies on the islands)
  3. Startup teams “week retreats” for whole team
  4. Corporate rewards (rewarding selected employees to work remotely for a week/month)

Back up plan / Pivots:

  1. Standard holiday apartment let
  2. Over 50s collectives
  3. Sell the asset at a profit / basic redevelopment playbook.

Risk:

  • Climate change… We don’t know whether the UK will become really cold or really hot this all hinges of changes to the gulf stream. The same applies to Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands. There might be a mass movement of people to these islands or away from them. In a way owning property in multiple countries is hedging a bet.
  • Not getting the required planning permissions
  • Not having the cash available at the right time to do the building works
