Tucked away on the rugged north coast of Tenerife, in the peaceful seaside town of Bajamar, something new is taking shape. In a building with a long and varied past — once a garage, a supermarket, and a pizzeria — we’re creating a vibrant coliving space designed for connection, creativity, and community.
And part of that vision includes a very special offering: an artist residency program launching later this year.
Why an Artist Residency?
We believe in the power of art to bring people together, to challenge perspectives, and to breathe life into a space. By hosting artists from around the world, we hope to weave creativity into the everyday rhythm of life here in Bajamar. This won’t be a traditional white-wall gallery kind of residency — it will be lived, shared, and open to collaboration with the local community and fellow colivers.
What We’re Offering
- Free accommodation in our coliving space, just minutes from the ocean
- Including workspace depending on your practice
- Opportunities to connect with local residents, other creatives, and the natural beauty of the Anaga coast
- A chance to leave a mark — whether through workshops, an open studio, a performance, or something totally unexpected
Who We’re Looking For
We’re open to artists of all disciplines — visual artists, writers, performers, sound designers, movement practitioners, filmmakers, and beyond. Whether you’re looking for quiet inspiration or eager to collaborate with others, this residency is about exploration, presence, and contribution.
We especially welcome those who are:
- Community-minded and curious
- Inspired by natural landscapes and island rhythms
- Open to sharing their work and process with others
When and How to Apply
Our first residency will open later this year, once renovations are complete. We’ll be announcing the official call for applications — along with details on how to apply — in the coming months. To stay in the loop, follow us on social media.
Come Be Part of Something New
This space in Bajamar has been many things — and soon, it will be home to something entirely different. We can’t wait to welcome our first artists, and to see what unfolds when creativity meets the Atlantic breeze.
